1) Navigate to Extensions > Analytics > Facebook Marketing.

Then, click on the edit icon to edit/enable the facebook marketing settings.

For the Facebook Marketing module, the very first step is to create the facebook pixel.

To create your Facebook pixel:

  1. Go to your Facebook Pixel tab in Facebook Ads Manager.

  2. Click Create a Pixel.

  3. Enter a name for your pixel. There's only one pixel per ad account, so choose a name that represents your business.

  4. Make sure you've checked the box to accept the terms.

  5. Click Create Pixel.

  6. Copy the Pixel ID and paste it here.

The same has been illustrated in the About section. Click on the “more” link for more info.

.

2) Under the FB Pixel Configuration section, the store is selected (by default)

The following details have to be added:

(i) Status: To be enabled
(ii) Facebook Pixel Id: Login to your Facebook Ads Management account and enter the generated pixel id here

(iii) Product Catalogue Id: Required for dynamic product ads
(iv) Advanced Matching: To send data to customers through the pixel for more website actions. Switch it on if required.
(v) Values VAT inclusive
(vi) Manual only mode: Switch it On to prevent sending additional data like click-button data and page metadata.
(vii) Pixel Product Id

Below these details are the pixel events listed. Click on the save icon to save the changes.

Below attached screenshot displays the same:

3) The Facebook pixel has an advanced matching feature that enables you to send your customer data through the pixel to match more website actions with Facebook users.

With this additional data, you can report and optimize your ads for more conversions and build larger re-marketing audiences. You can pass the customer identifiers such as email, phone number that you collect from your website during the check-out, account sign-in or registration process as parameters in the pixel.

Facebook will then use this information to match pixel events with Facebook users when the Facebook cookie is not present on the browser that fires the pixel.

Under the Advanced Matching Data section, enable all the required sections.
